Comm100 Products:
Crowsnest II is located at the south end of the Platinum Coast of Barbados, 30ft from the sea, and with a unique 180 degree view of its longest beach.
Built in 2006, this 5,000 sq ft beach-house occupies the top two stories of the three-storey building. Finished entirely in hardwood and natural stones it features five air-conditioned bedrooms and four bathrooms on the 1st floor, with the living area above – where it catches the breeze. The open plan penthouse living area features two lounges, a 14 seat dining table, a barbecue area, bar, library, another full bathroom and a 30ft rooftop pool and wet bar, all arranged around a central open plan kitchen.
While designed for guests who want to self-cater, a cook can be arranged, at additional cost. There is a full-time maid/laundress to wash-up, do laundry, and to clean and service the rooms daily.
Crowsnest is located on Brighton Beach, 2.5 miles North of Bridgetown and 3.5 miles South of Sandy Lane. Kensington Oval is walking distance and, being 4.5 miles from both Holetown and popular St Lawrence, the beach-house is equidistant between both the major restaurant and nightlife areas on the island.
At over 1.2 miles Brighton Beach is the longest on the Platinum Coast and when put together with Paradise Beach provides almost 2 miles of uninterrupted powder soft sand. It is the largest turtle hatchery on the island and turtles are often seen laying eggs, hatching and swimming in the surrounding waters.
Being set back 200 yards from the main road, Crowsnest does not experience the road noise suffered by most West Coast villas and because Brighton Beach is a mainly residential beach, with no hotels or apartment blocks and only a handful of properties available for holiday rental. The beach itself is almost deserted for the majority of the day/week. The water is usually calm and clear, and swimming is safe with negligible current, and a gentle slope to the sand.
Note: Rates are based on double occupancy. Single beds can be pushed together to form large double beds. Each single bed also has a rollaway bed. A $50 per additional guest, per night surcharge is applied for more than 10 persons. The bottom floor is occupied by a long term client (professional couple, no kids). A sixth bedroom with en-suite, not part of the main apartment but annexed to the garage, may also be available. Special rates apply for Christmas. Please inquire for rates.
Barbados has lots of beautiful beaches and a great climate. It is also easy to get to with many direct flights from Canada, the United States and Europe. The weather is almost always sunny and warm in Barbados, cooled by the northeast Tradewinds. Barbados sightseeing is a photographer's dream. There are many natural wonders, breathtaking scenic views, gorgeous gardens and miles of white, sandy beaches. There's so much to see and many things to do such as duty-free shopping, guided island tours, or visit one of the many beaches, nature reserves or historic landmarks.
We stayed here for a week in February 2010. It was wonderful. The villa was gorgeous. It was a fantastic design and really was a unique experience. The location was fantastic, right on the beach. We hired a car and ventured out on a night to the various restaurants. It was a dream holiday and I would absolutely recommend it to you.
