Airport info – Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) The Grantley Adams International Airport is a modern facility located on the South East side of the Island, about 13 km (8 miles) away from the capital city, Bridgetown. Barbados was once a destination for one of the British Airways Concordes, which has now been decommissioned and on exhibit next door to the airport in the Barbados Concorde Experience Museum.
Passport and VISA – For Canadian and American visitors of less than three months, a birth certificate and photo ID is required. However, we highly recommend traveling with a Passport at all times. Visitors from other countries, including the UK and EU are required to carry a Passport.
Departure tax – There is $27.50 USD levy on departures for adults 12 years and older.
